Baby Shower

Last week, My sweet friends, Becki and Colleen gave me a baby shower. We had a great time.

I got so many gifts! Is there anything cuter than little girls clothing....I don't think so.

The food was absolutely delicious! Yummm! It was the perfect "shower" food that only women can appreciate.

It was so nice to be able to introduce Dave's mom and sister's to all my friends.

Here is one last shot with Colleen and Becki. Can you believe that between the three of us, we have sixteen kids. Make that seventeen children when my little one is born. Is that crazy or what? They are great mamas... and friends. Thank you for such a special day!

Look Mom! No training wheels!

Bridgete woke up Friday morning and said, "Today I am going to ride my bike with no training wheels." Great! She is a stubborn one and we have tried to get her to ride without them before...no way. When SHE has decided, then it will happen. So Dave, my sweet hubby, got to run with her. Sorry, there is NO WAY I am running right now :) She is very proud of herself and we are, too.

weekend recap...better late than never :)

I have had a few other things on my mind lately and blogging has not been one of them. Then my kids make me feel guilty because ours has nothing new and all their cousins have been updated.
So I am blogging today, out of shame and guilt.
Dave took the kids sledding on Valentine's Day. We decided that I should not venture out into the snow due to my big pregnant belly. A slip, fall, crash would not be good.
So I stayed home and washed sheets. We have WAY too many sheets in this house! But there is nothing better than a fresh clean bed with the sheets on perfectly straight and neat.
I am a little type A when it comes to sheets.
Anyway, enough about wonderful clean sheets :) The kids had a blast in the snow. It has been so stormy and cold that many of the roads were chains only. So Dave drove and pulled over in Auburn, and they sledded down a bank they found. Perfect :) We packed up sandwiches and snacks and everyone had a jolly time.

Random

If you are ever in town and need a snack, Spencer will be happy to make you a butter sandwich. He made some tonight for an evening snack, and Bridgete said, "This is delicious!" He is so proud :)
My sweet hubby planted a plum, apricot and peach tree. I am so so happy! I just hope it doesn't take years for them to produce fruit.
Filippo became a Deacon at the end of December. He is so cute when he passes the sacrament. On Sunday, he was set apart as the 2nd counselor in the Deacon's quorum. I am wondering what happened to my little boy :)
And we are on the 6 week countdown to meet our newest addition. I cannot wait. I am looking forward to her birth day. I am trying to stay clear of all negative birth stories right now and am just focusing on what I need to do to make her birth as wonderful as possible. I have so much more insight now (it only took a few times :) and I know I can do this :)
I just want to meet this little girl who we never planned on having. What a blessing she has already been for the past 8 months of just being inside my belly :)

The happiest place on earth

Dave and I went to the Temple Friday night.
We did a sealing session for seven couples from my mom's side of the family.
I can't wait to meet these people one day.
Can I just say that when you are in the temple, there is nowhere else on earth you would rather be.
Can't say that about any other place :)
I had forgotten what wonderful blessings are promised to us when we are sealed. It was so refreshing to hear them again.
I am so thankful to be sealed to my sweet hubby and children.
I am equally thankful to know that I am sealed to my parents along with all my brothers and sisters.
