Girl's Weekend

3rd Annual Girl's Weekend!

This past weekend I got to hang out with my best friends from ALHS. We met up in Arizona this time. We had such a wonderful time.

We ate till we were miserable, laughed till we cried and talked till we fell asleep. It was just perfect!!

I love those girls. This is our only time to see eachother since Tressa lives in Kentucky, Jen lives in Colorado and Wendy lives in LA. I am so thankful for good friends and a great hubby who lets me getaway every once in awhile :)

Tressa and I showing off our pedicures.

Ready to get our massages.

High Tea at the Biltmore. Notice the pinkies?

Making and eating smores on our last night at the Firesky.

Eating a yummy cupcake at Sprinkles. We decided the Black and White was our favorite :)

It was so much fun. It is hard to believe we will all be 35 this year. Wow. I love my friends.

Oh, on a side note...they each gave me gifts for my baby girl that is almost here. Wendy gave me a ton of awesome products she got when she went to Allison Sweeney's baby shower. (She is the hostess on Biggest Loser.) Isn't that awesome? She is our Hollywood hook-up :)

I can't wait to do it again. Maybe Wendy will be pregnant next time :)

Yikes!

Bridgete has always been the feisty one in our family. Most people don't believe that because she is shy. But she isn't shy around us. And she has got a mouth on her. A sassy mouth. Yesterday in the car, she dropped something and said, "D_mn, I dropped it!"
I said, "What?"
She said, "D_mn!"
Then she said it a third time. Jenny and her friend were in the car, and their mouths were opened wide.
I got out of the car and went to her seat and said, "What are you saying Bridgete?"
(Maybe I misunderstood...but I didn't)
I told her we don't say that word because it sounds yucky. Then she gave me a "so what" look and so I had to tell her that if she says it again she will get in trouble and get soap in her mouth.
I guess it is my fault. Not that I say that word, but she loves movies.
Not Disney Princess movies.
She loves Home Alone, A Christmas Story, Big Fat Liar, etc.
Those movies don't have the best language. No one else has ever picked up the bad words, except Bridgete.
I am a bad mom.

A Belly Update

Last time I posted a pregnancy picture, I was 20 weeks. I am now 30 weeks, so I thought it was
time to share. Aren't you so glad?
Spencer took this picture...he was proud of his work.
Also, I can't believe my baby ticker (to the right) says 70 days!
Oh my gosh.

Any more germs out there?

Last Monday and Tuesday, Filippo stayed home from school because of a sinus infection.
This Monday, Spencer stayed home because he has terrible asthma.

Today, Spencer stayed home because he is still bad with asthma. Bridgete is home too, because she has a fever and asthma/allergies.
(notice the tear? Whenver she gets a fever, her eyes drip nonstop) Hey, let's add Wednesday to the list, too :)
Want to come over?

A Trip Down South

We went to see my family New Year's Day. We stayed till Sunday and let me tell you it was an action packed weekend. It always is. Friday, we went to John's Incredible Pizza. That was a special treat...thanks Dad. We had all the kids there. Yikes! My parents had their 16 grand kids there, so that was fun. I didn't bring my camera, but feel free to use your imagination.
Later that night, we had a girl's night out. My sweet sisters and sisters in law and my mom surprised me with a baby shower. Of course I cried and cried; shocker, I know :) It was so sweet of them. I had NO idea and since I have not bought a single thing, it was just perfect. I didn't bring my camera to this either...I didn't think I'd need one. Stacey and Jenni posted some lovely pics of the event. (remind me not to cry in front of the camera EVER again!)
Saturday we went to see my Grandma Red. She recently broke her hip but she is doing great. She was so happy to see us. She is a cutie.
Later that night we all met up at my parent's for a barbeque. My mom bought a Karaoke microphone that she was saving for that night. That is when the party began: except the microphone didn't work and the songs consisted of "I've Been Working on the Railroad" and songs similar to that. The little kids were not real into it since all the songs were like 5o + years old :) For a special treat, I got a little on video.

The couch is "the" place to sit, I guess. Six or more people must always be on the couch, it is a secret law I have discovered.
