When I grow up...

What do you want to be when you grow up?
I had to post this picture of Bridgete and my mother-in-law, Claudia...better known as Grandma.
Bridgete has always said that when she grows up, she wants to be a Grandma. Not a mom, not a nurse or a movie star, but a Grandma.
I asked her what she will do when she is a Grandma. She said, "I am gonna bake lots of nummy cookies and be nice."
I can't knock her for that! I also think that her saying that is such a sweet, precious compliment to her Grandma and Grammy.

We love Pez
PEZ!!!!
Ok, I thought I'd share one of Bridgete's favorite things to do. We have a box filled with Pez...over the years it has definitely added up. I think they are cute so I feel bad throwing them out.
Who knew it would be one of Bridgete's favorite things to play with. She lines them all up in a perfectly straight line. They are sooo close to eachother and yet she has never knocked one down. None of the other kids can do it. I knew her long skinny fingers would one day come in handy!

January 2008

Well, the Schramm family has finally gone high tech. I have enjoyed reading family and friend's blogs so much that I thought I would give it a try! Well, our 2008 has been full of sick family members. Dave was the first one to be sick and it has gone thru everyone except Jenny. Spencer has had croup for the past few nights...let's hope tonight he sleeps without barking. The other night he came in and said, "Mama, I think there is a frog in my throat." Poor guy! He has been absent from Kindergarten for almost a week. Dave is enjoying being a sheriff. He is back at the jail...he misses patrol. We do enjoy having him home a little bit more now. Bridgete gets so happy when he is home. Actually, we all are so happy when he is home. I sure do miss him when he is away, but as mothers know, I am always busy, whether it is with the kids, or homework, or running a taxi service, or cooking or church callings. There is always stuff going on. But it is all 'good' stuff and I wouldn't change anything for the world. We are truly blessed.

The motley crew Evan in action Filippo in action
Our New year started off with a bang...literally! Every New Year's Eve Evan and Filippo have a big football game with all of their friends. This year I think there were 20-25 boys who showed up. Evan got tackled the first play of the game by a kid bigger than Dave. He picked him up over his head and dropped him to the ground. Ouch...he didn't let on how bad it was till after the game. Hey, every football game has to have a concussion, right? He survived and they all had a great time. They came back to the house for lunch. I made 50 hot dogs and they ate them all!
Later that night Filippo had a few friend's spend the night and they ran up and down the street making all sorts of noise and throwing those Wolf packs at eachother. They managed to fall asleep by 2:00am...thank goodness. That football game wore everyone out.
